“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”.” ( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV)
Have you ever found yourself pleading with God to do something on your behalf? I have and in my experience this pleading can go very deep. From a simple whisper to laying prostrate before the Father.
In 2 Corinthians chapter 12, we find the apostle Paul in this place page. He is petitioning the Father to remove his thorn in the flesh that has plagued him. Paul understood that the purpose of the affliction was to keep him humble. Still, he beseeched God to remove it. It was in that time that God whispered a sweet moment of grace to his soul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.
Life will always have a “thorn in the flesh”. A pleading heart is in order. I encourage you to look for those moments that God covers you in His sweet whispers of grace. Expect those moments where God will encourage, strengthen and give reassurance. God will let you know that His power is completed in your weakness, inadequacies, and through trial. Know that you will hear from your Father.
Dear Father. In this moment I praise your name. Help me to hear those sweet moments of grace. Thank you for seeing my weaknesses and are so willing to carry me through with your power. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.Share
