Marilyn is founder and director of a women’s ministry-A Gathering of Friends Ministries. The focus and heart of the ministry is to equip and encourage women to a deeper walk with God. Her desire is to inspire and encourage people to seek out their giftedness in Christ to help build the body of Christ. Marilyn’s passion by the Spirit is to be an ambassador for God through which He can make His appeal to the world. The ministry offers Bible studies, seminars and retreat options. Marilyn serves as a Pastoral Care Associate for her local congregation.
Marilyn is currently a Registered Nurse of over 30 years spending approximately 28 of those years in critical care settings. She draws spiritual application from her career experiences in dealing with critically ill patients, their families and end-of-life issues. Another passion is ethics and suffering and is able to participate as a Ethics Champion for her hospital system. She feels it is such a privilege to come along side patients and their families during this particular part of life.
Marilyn’s passion takes her into foreign missions to the country of Kenya to the small rural village of Kipkaren. Their work there includes service with Living Room International at their hospice in the village, home visits within the village and children’s ministry at a local academy.
